The Biden Administration announced its second allocation of military aid to Ukraine totaling $60 million.
The package includes weapons Ukraine has requested like Patriot missiles, HIMARS rockets, Stinger missiles, artillery rounds, Bradley vehicles and MRAPs.
Secretary of State Blinken said the US and allies will continue supporting Ukraine’s defense.
“As President Biden has made clear, the United States and the international coalition we have assembled will continue to stand with Ukraine in its defense of its freedom,” Blinken stated.
It represents the second drawdown package since Biden signed $95 billion in foreign aid, including long-term funding for Ukraine.
Defense Secretary Austin said equipment would start arriving within days while other packages may take longer.
The announcement came a day after Russia’s largest cross-border attack since the start of the war, allowing them to seize territory near Kharkiv.
However, the US has now committed over $100 billion total to Ukraine’s military and humanitarian needs as the conflict enters its third year.
