A video showed pro-Palestinian protesters standing on a New York City war memorial, hanging a Palestinian flag on it and burning an American flag on the ground, while chanting “Free Palestine.”
The words “Gaza” and “Free Palestine” were also written on the memorial.
This occurred as the NYPD increased security for the Met Gala, with protesters marching outside and removing barricades.
