According to an Israeli defense official, over 100 drones launched by Iran at Israel have been shot down before reaching Israeli airspace, with the U.S. and U.K. credited for downing some.
A senior U.S. official said there could be up to 500 drones and missiles fired at Israel from Iranian proxy groups in Iraq, Syria, southern Lebanon and Yemen.
Israel’s Iron Dome defense system also intercepted incoming projectiles.

This attack is likely to unfold over a number of hours.”
“President Biden has been clear: our support for Israel’s security is ironclad,” she added. “The United States will stand with the people of Israel and support their defense against these threats from Iran.”
The spokesperson affirmed the U.S. support for Israel’s security is “ironclad” and America will defend Israel against threats from Iran.
