Donald Trump and Joe Biden raised substantial funds in the first quarter of 2024 as they ramp up their presidential campaigns.
Trump and the RNC raised $65.6 million in March, while Biden and Democrats raised $90 million.
Both are relying on wealthy donors writing big checks.
Trump’s top donors gave over $800,000 each, while Biden received maximum donations from tech and finance executives.
Biden has amassed a record $192 million war chest so far with support from super PAC Future Forward’s $1 billion pledge.
Meanwhile, hedge fund billionaire George Soros’ Democracy PAC donated $60 million in January.
Senate and House leadership funds on both sides also saw large donations from industry groups as election spending heats up.
Overall, both candidates are pursuing different donor strategies as they prepare for the general election.
