Veteran actor Kirk Cameron announced plans for a new children’s television show called “Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk” aimed at providing wholesome, faith-based entertainment.

Cameron said parents are tired of Hollywood promoting “woke” messages to children.

“Parents and grandparents are sickened and tired of their children being attacked by the woke wolves of Hollywood,” Cameron said. “That’s why I’m continuing to work with Brave Books to dive further into the world of children’s entertainment.”

The show seeks to counter topics like drag queen story time and pornographic books being marketed to kids.

It will star Cameron as “Mr. Kirk” alongside a puppet character, “Iggy the Iguana.”

“It’s not just time to take back our libraries and literature. It’s time to take back every area of culture that these animals have devoured,” Cameron said. “Good families are looking for entertainment they can trust – stories that teach children biblically based moral values.”

“So supporting ‘Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk’ is another step forward in creating the culture we want for our future generations,” he added.

Cameron has previously drawn large crowds for faith-based children’s book readings.

The CEO of Cameron’s production company said the show will build character while sparking imagination, unlike much current children’s content.

They view it as the most important children’s show since “Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood.”

“As parents, we have been forced to settle for mindless entertainment or just downright harmful content. It’s time we had a show for our children that not only sparked their imagination and engaged them, but also built their character and strengthened their worldview while doing so,” Brave Books CEO Trent Talbot stated.

“Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk’ is the right show at the right time and will be the most important children’s television show since ‘Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood,’” Talbot said.

The series is expected to launch in 2024 to offer family-friendly programming promoting biblical values.
