Iowa basketball star Caitlin Clark led the Hawkeyes to back-to-back NCAA championship games, falling just short of a title both times.
After their final loss, Clark posted a message on Instagram thanking fans.
“I’ll miss ya,” Clark wrote.
Clark is projected as the number one pick in the upcoming WNBA draft.
Over her career at Iowa, Clark broke numerous records and led the team in facing opponents with highly touted prospects, including the eventual national champion South Carolina.
She scored 30 points in the final game but it wasn’t enough.
Clark now faces a quick transition to the pros with little time to reflect on her legendary college career, which in accomplishments and cultural impact could be compared to Michigan’s iconic “Fab Five” team of the early 1990s that also lost back-to-back championship games but left a significant mark on the sport.
