Tucker Carlson
Tucker Carlson, co-founder of the Daily Caller, received a warm reception when he appeared alongside podcast host Joe Rogan at a comedy show.
Rogan’s Comedy Mothership Club
The event took place at Rogan’s Comedy Mothership Club in Austin, Texas, where they joined the live recording of the weekly comedy podcast “Kill Tony.”
Carlson and Rogan
The show features several up-and-coming comedians, each given 60 seconds to perform. About 30 minutes into the show, host Tony Hinchcliffe introduced Carlson and Rogan to the stage, prompting the audience to erupt in enthusiastic applause.
Cheers
As Carlson and Rogan greeted everyone on stage, the cheers from the audience in the front row continued to echo throughout the venue.
No idea
“Tucker had no idea this was going on till about 30 seconds ago,” Rogan stated. “He had no idea he was going on stage, he’s just finding out right now.”
Standing backstage
“We were literally at dinner, and he’s [Rogan] like I wanna show you my new place. And we were standing backstage and I didn’t know I was coming out till I heard my name,” Carlson stated.
Stand-up comedy
While the comedians took their turns on stage, Hinchcliffe turned to Carlson and inquired about his thoughts on comedian Enrique Chacon’s performance, questioning whether Carlson is an avid viewer of stand-up comedy.
I love this man
“I love this man,” Carlson responded. “Aw, thank you Tucker. Maybe in return you could get me a green card,” Chacon stated as everyone laughed. “I’ll do any gig in this country, but outside the country I’m a have to hit up my man Tucker, you know what I mean?”
Taking jobs
“You’re already taking jobs Americans can’t do,” Carlson said.
Can’t vote
“I was going to vote for you, but you know what? You lost a good one here, but actually I can’t vote,” Chacon stated while laughing.
Compliment
“No, I meant it as a compliment!” Carlson stated.
Vote for him
“Vote for him? Wait, hold on, Enrique who do you think Tucker Carlson is?” Hinchcliffe asked.
Comedian Kam Patterson
After evaluating two additional comedians, the panel shifted their focus to comedian Kam Patterson. Following Patterson’s brief performance, he cordially greeted Carlson and Rogan before humorously mentioning that his grandmother holds a dislike for Carlson.
Hates you
“Yeah, this is crazy – my grandma hates you [expletive],” Patterson stated as Carlson and the crowd laughed.
Carlson replied
“She doesn’t mean it,” Carlson replied.
Can’t stand you
“Yea the [expletive] she does,” Patterson quipped back. “Yes, she does! She can’t stand your [expletive], dawg. She can’t stand you. This is great man! She’s gonna love this [expletive], man.”
William Montgomery
The comics notably ended with William Montgomery who gave a nod to Carlson throughout his set.
Worshipped
“Backstage Tucker actually asked me if I could tell some jokes in Russian,” Montgomery began. “But seriously, Tucker, my family has always worshipped you. It’s awesome that you came down from heaven to do Kill Tony.”
Political themes
Montgomery delved into political themes, making jokes about President Joe Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and Hillary Clinton. During the Q&A session with the panel, Hinchcliffe questioned Montgomery about his thoughts on Carlson’s presence on the panel.
Wynonna Judd
The show concluded with a special appearance by country music icon Wynonna Judd and a rap performance by Azmattic. Hinchcliffe expressed gratitude to the panel and the band, prompting the audience to applaud.
Let’s see
“Let’s see how loud this place can get for Jim Norton! Joe Rogan! Tucker [expletive] Carlson!” Hinchcliffe shouted.
