A recent poll found that former President Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden in hypothetical matchups in six of seven key swing states, with the two tied in Michigan.
The poll showed Trump ahead of Biden as well as third party candidates in these competitive states.
However, the margins narrowed when only considering a Biden-Trump head-to-head race, with Biden leading in one state.
Additionally, the poll found that around 80% of swing state voters believe Biden, at age 81, is showing major signs of aging and is too old for another term, even among reliably Democratic voters in these swing states.
This comes as the Biden administration pushes back on concerns about the president’s age and mental acuity in light of a recent special counsel report describing Biden as an elderly man with poor memory.
