A Princeton University alumnus and LGBT activist was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography.
According to reports, Roy “Trey” Farmer was charged with one count of knowingly possessing child sexual abuse material after investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
A search of Farmer’s condo yielded evidentiary items.

If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison.
Farmer maintained involvement with several university and music organizations, both in the U.S. and abroad.
“He’s is involved with or directs several university-related groups, like the Princeton University Glee Club Foundation and Queer Princeton Alumni, and a number of other organizations around the country, many involving music and some in Europe, according to online biographies and profile stories,” NJ.com. stated.
The prosecutor’s office intends to argue he remain detained pending trial.
Princeton University referred inquiries to law enforcement and noted Farmer is not an employee.
