Stephanie Diller, widow of slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller, delivered a eulogy at his funeral attended by thousands.
She thanked everyone for their support, saying the family has received overwhelming love and hugs.
“Thank you all for the support this week,” Diller said. “The outpouring of love our family has received has been overwhelming, and we’re forever thankful to everyone.”

While proud Jonathan was part of the NYPD, she wanted to honor him as the “fierce protector” and her “absolute greatest confidant” he was out of uniform.
She called him a “connector” and “friend to everyone,” and his death “devasting” and “senseless.”
“With every hug that I’ve received, I just picture each one is from Jonathan. I wish Jonathan were here to see the incredible kindness and generosity that has been shown to our family, but I know in his own way, he is here watching over us,” she said. “I am so proud that thousands of people across the country are calling Jonathan a hero, but the truth is, he has always been a hero to Ryan and me. The rest of the world is just catching up.”
Stephanie Diller said her husband always lived as a hero, not just dying as one.
Guy Rivera has been charged with murdering Officer Diller during a traffic stop, at which former President Donald Trump attended the officer’s wake.
