Laura Ingraham criticized NBC News for firing Ronna McDaniel from a contributor role, claiming it was due to McDaniel’s support for Trump rather than any valid reason.
“The network where I actually started my TV career wouldn’t ever hire anyone like me now,” Ingraham said.
“The inmates took over the asylum,” she added.

“Believe no other explanation they provide about why they got rid of her,” Ingraham said.
However, Ingraham’s critics argued there were likely legitimate concerns about McDaniel spreading misinformation and lies.
They also noted Ingraham herself would probably not be welcomed back at her former employer MSNBC, suggesting it is due to her own history of pushing conspiracy theories and even white nationalist talking points on her Fox News show.
Ingraham’s attack on NBC may have revealed more about her own credibility issues than the network’s decision to part ways with McDaniel.
