A large Pride event in Tampa, Florida on March 23rd is receiving criticism for inappropriate displays given the presence of children.

Photos and videos show scantily-clad drag performers, vendors selling candy penises and fans saying “Make Me Cum Again”, and a small child holding a transgender flag.

“Does this look kid-friendly to you? It might… if you’re a groomer,” Gays Against Groomers wrote online.

“PRIDE IS NOT FOR KIDS!” they wrote. “Shame on any parent who brought their children there.”

While the event was marketed as family-friendly, observers argued these types of displays are not appropriate for children.

The city’s Democrat mayor attended and promoted the event on social media.

Previously, Tampa Pride was canceled in 2023, with organizers citing anti-grooming laws but former board members said it was due to lack of manpower after leadership changes.
