Ronna McDaniel, the former RNC chairwoman, is reportedly considering a defamation lawsuit against NBC News after being fired from her contributor contract following objections from MSNBC hosts.
McDaniel was to be paid $600,000 over two years before her first appearance prompted calls for her firing.
NBC chairman Cesar Conde apologized to employees while claiming a commitment to diverse viewpoints.
However, MSNBC does not employ any Trump supporters.
McDaniel is exploring legal action beyond recovering her contract pay, having hired attorney Bryan Freedman.
Sources say McDaniel feels NBC did not defend her from attacks calling her an enemy of democracy.
Critics argued that NBC staffers acted dishonestly and that the firing was a calculated move to interfere in the 2024 election by signaling Republican operatives will not find work in media if they criticize narratives.
