The upcoming New York hush money trial of former President Donald Trump is facing allegations of potential bias based on the judge and prosecutor’s political ties.
Judge Juan Merchan, who imposed a gag order on Trump and denied delays, had family members who publicly oppose Trump on social media and his daughter works in Democratic politics.
Notably, his daughter has Vice President Kamala Harris and Adam Schiff as clients.
