Rep. Jim Jordan was pressed on Newsmax about the lack of support and momentum for the GOP-led impeachment inquiry against Biden.
When asked if impeachment would move forward without Democratic votes, Jordan acknowledged it would be “real tough” given their small majority.
He claimed Republicans would continue investigating indefinitely per their constitutional oversight role, though the effort has faced increasing skepticism from conservative media figures and some Republicans.

“Is impeachment the next step? Are you going to hold a vote on the House floor?” Newsmax’s Rob Finnerty asked.
“Unless you get Democratic votes, this is going to be real tough,” Finnerty added. “So, it kind of seems like you’re chasing your tail at this point because this is not going to go anywhere.”
“You know, we’ve got a small majority. Everybody understands that. Not just on this issue but on a host of issues. Our job, under the Constitution, is to do oversight of the executive branch. We’re doing that. We’re going to continue to do that,” Jordan said.
“There’s no time limit in the Constitution on how long you can do an investigation,” Jordan added.
On Fox News, hosts and commentators have questioned whether Republicans should continue focusing on the inquiry or “fish or cut bait” as evidence is lacking and it’s not resonating widely.
Several Democrats also said the inquiry appears dead as even Fox News opted not to air the latest hearing.
“It just feels like they keep doing the same hearing over and over again, and people are starting to wonder — at some point, do you fish or cut bait?” Fox News’ Dana Perino asked.
