A recent poll of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza found that 71% still approve of Hamas’ October 7 terror attack against Israel, unchanged from last year.
Support dropped 11 points in the West Bank but increased 14 points in Gaza.
Over 90% believe Hamas did not commit war crimes, and most were unaware of Hamas atrocities as only 20% saw related videos.
I won't mince words.
The overwhelming majority of Palestinians are not Hamas. And Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people.
In fact, they're also suffering as a result of Hamas' terrorism. We need to be clear-eyed about that reality.

Those who saw the videos were much more likely to believe Hamas committed atrocities.
A majority in Gaza support continued Hamas control there.
A majority also expected Hamas would “win” the conflict, contradicting claims most Palestinians oppose Hamas.
The poll illustrates widespread Palestinian support for Hamas’ terrorism and lack of awareness about its war crimes.
