A new poll in Georgia finds former President Donald Trump leading President Joe Biden in a hypothetical 2024 matchup.

The Marist survey showed Trump with 51% support compared to Biden’s 47%, outside the margin of error.

When independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was included, Trump’s lead grew to 5 points.

Notably, Trump now edges out Biden among young voters, reversing Biden’s 2020 margin.

Independent voters are split almost evenly.

While Biden maintains strong support from Black voters, his level has declined from 2020. Voters see Trump as stronger on the economy and immigration.

Most Georgians disapprove of Biden’s performance, suggesting an uphill battle as he seeks reelection.

The results suggest Trump is competitive in Georgia, which Biden won by a narrow margin in 2020.
