Aaron Taylor-Johnson is reportedly set to be offered the role of James Bond, taking over from Daniel Craig.
The 33-year-old British actor is said to be Eon Productions’ top choice and is expected to accept the role.
“Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it. The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back,” an inside source stated.
“As far as Eon is concerned, Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days and they can start preparing for the big announcement.”
He has experience in action franchises such as Avengers.
“I find it charming and wonderful that people see me in that role. I take it as a great compliment,” Aaron said.
His performance in the thriller Nocturnal Animals particularly impressed as showing his depth.
“Aaron may not be the best known in his field but he is an incredibly talented actor,” another source stated.
“His role in Nocturnal Animals showed his depth as an actor.”
“He is the perfect person to play Bond and will pick up well from where Daniel left off.”
Craig had played Bond since 2006 but stepped down after 2021’s No Time To Die, leaving the role open.
Taylor-Johnson is now widely tipped as the favorite due to his talent and ability to continue the character’s portrayal.
He is married with four children and lives in London, keeping his personal life relatively private.
