A CBS/YouGov survey found that registered voters considered the economy, US-Mexico border, and crime to be major factors in choosing the next US president.
The survey asked voters how much each issue factored into their vote.
The economy was considered a major factor by 82% of voters, while crime and border issues were seen as major by 63% and 62% respectively.

Over half also saw the state of democracy and abortion as major factors.
Fewer considered issues like the Russia/Ukraine war, Israel/Hamas conflict, or race/diversity as major determining issues.
The survey highlighted key issues Americans are focused on ahead of the next presidential election.
