Nancy Pelosi warned that Donald Trump’s nomination as the Republican candidate in the upcoming presidential election presents a stark choice for voters.
She referenced Trump’s prediction of a “bloodbath” if he loses, as well as reports that he praised Hitler and Putin.
“We just have to win this election, because he’s even predicting a ‘bloodbath,’” Pelosi said. “What does that mean? He’s going to exact a bloodbath?”
Pelosi urged voters to consider Trump’s controversial comments and actions when deciding how to vote, saying his behavior crosses a line and would not be tolerated in most households.
“There’s something wrong here,” Pelosi said. “How respectful I am of the American people and their goodness, but how much more do they have to see from him to understand that this isn’t what our country is about? Praising Hitler, praising the Russians.”
“You wouldn’t even allow him in your house, much less in the White House,” she said.
