Border officials continue encountering large numbers of migrants crossing illegally into Arizona through breaches in the border wall.

A video showed a group taking selfies after crossing from Mexico. According to an unofficial Border Patrol report, over 10,000 migrants were apprehended in the Tucson Sector last week alone, bringing the March total so far to over 22,700.

For the current fiscal year to date, Tucson Sector agents have apprehended nearly 323,000 migrants, representing about a third of all nationwide apprehensions.

Other sectors with high apprehension numbers include Del Rio, San Diego, and El Paso, each apprehending over 100,000 migrants this year.

The ongoing large crossings have shed light on the ongoing challenges in securing the southern border.
