Angel Mom Allyson Phillips criticized President Biden for mispronouncing her murdered daughter Laken Riley’s name during his State of the Union address.
Biden held up a pin with Riley’s name given to him by a congresswoman, but said “Lincoln Riley” instead.
“Biden does not even KNOW my child’s name — it’s pathetic! If you are going to say her name (even when forced to do so) at least say the right name!” Phillips wrote online.
Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student, was allegedly beaten to death in 2022 by Jose Antonio Ibarra, an illegal alien from Venezuela who had been previously released into the US by DHS.
Ibarra remains in custody while Democrats opposed calling him an “illegal alien,” something Biden was quickly condemned for following his speech.
“No human being is illegal,” Rep. Ilhan Omar wrote on X.
“He should have said undocumented,” Rep. Nancy Pelosi said.
“I wouldn’t have used the word ‘illegal,’ Rep. Joaquin Castro said. “I think the president quickly shifted; he began talking about immigrants right after. … That’s not a word that anybody should use to describe anybody.”
