Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has reportedly approached NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former wrestler/governor Jesse Ventura about being his running mate in 2024.
Kennedy confirmed that he has been speaking with Rodgers for over a month and also been in contact with Ventura since an event last month.
“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has recently approached the NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the former Minnesota governor and professional wrestler Jesse Ventura about serving as his running mate on an independent presidential ticket, and both have welcomed the overtures, two people familiar with the discussions said,” the report stated.
While unlikely Kennedy could win, his candidacy could sway the race, and a ticket including Rodgers may play a major role in who wins the White House.
As a star QB, Rodgers playing spoiler is possible even if insane.
The election would fall during NFL season, allowing Rodgers to contend for the presidency while also leading his team, with the potential of impacting the outcome either directly through votes or indirectly through his celebrity platform.
