Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is considering NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura as potential running mates.
While under contract with the New York Jets, Rodgers has shared Kennedy’s opposition to COVID policies and vaccine mandates.
He has expressed admiration for Kennedy in the past.
Ventura was elected governor in 1999 as a Reform Party candidate.
He has been critical of both major parties while endorsing policies that appeal across the spectrum, like gun rights and marijuana legalization.
Neither Rodgers nor Ventura have received a formal offer yet, but text messages confirm they are under serious consideration.
Kennedy aims to announce a vice presidential pick in the coming weeks as he works to gain ballot access nationwide ahead of the 2024 election.
