Evidence is mounting that Fulton County DA Fani Willis had a romantic relationship with investigator Nathan Wade prior to appointing him to the case against Donald Trump in 2019, contrary to their statements under oath.
A phone call was overheard where Willis told Wade’s business partner “they are coming after us” and “you don’t need to talk to them about anything about us.”
Testimony also indicates the affair began in 2019. Willis is facing efforts to remove her from the Trump case due to this apparent conflict of interest.
A witness claims Willis and Wade were “absolutely” involved before the appointment.
A Senate committee is now investigating the controversy and whether new laws are needed regarding prosecutors appointing personal affiliates to cases.
