The newly installed leadership team at the Republican National Committee (RNC), which was endorsed by former President Trump, began cutting senior management positions and vendor contracts on Monday as part of an overhaul.

More than 60 staffers, including five senior staff members, were reportedly let go or asked to resign.

The RNC’s new COO characterized the changes as evaluating the organization’s alignment with the new leadership’s vision, saying certain staff were asked to resign and reapply for positions.

The cuts aim to trim perceived “bureaucracy” at the committee and underscore how swiftly Trump’s team is moving to take control of Republican Party operations after his effective clinching of the 2024 nomination last week.
