A Rasmussen Reports poll found that if Donald Trump wins the 2024 presidential election, 57% of Democrat voters would oppose Congress certifying the results, with nearly two-thirds of liberals sharing this view.

However, overall just 35% of all voters supported opposing certification of a Trump victory, while 55% opposed lawmakers refusing to certify if he won.

The poll highlighted partisan divisions, with a majority of Democrats potentially willing to refuse certification of a Trump 2024 win due to his role in the January 6th Capitol riots, though most voters overall do not support such an action by Congress.

It also provides context for the potential impact of Trump’s August 2023 indictment on four charges related to January 6th, facing up to 55 years in prison if convicted.
