A poll of Georgia voters found former President Donald Trump leading President Joe Biden in the key swing state.
The Emerson College/The Hill survey showed Trump with 46% support to Biden’s 42%, a four point advantage.
“Biden voters are twice as likely to be motivated by their dislike for Trump (30%) compared to Trump voters’ motivation by their dislike for Biden (15%),” Emerson College Polling executive director Spencer Kimball said.

Trump’s lead expanded when third party candidates were included.
The poll revealed Trump voters were more motivated by issues like the economy and immigration, while Biden supporters were more driven by disliking Trump.
“A plurality of Trump voters (32%) are breaking for him due to their concern about an issue, with the economy (29%) and immigration (21%) being the top priorities for these voters,” Kimball said.
The economy was voters’ top concern.
More said Trump would better handle immigration.
The results are consistent with other state polls showing Trump ahead of Biden in multiple battlegrounds as the 2024 presidential election approaches.
