Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene called for defunding all Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs in Georgia in response to reporting on a controversial race training program implemented by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

The program required labeling white people as “bad” and ranking judges by skin color.

Greene argued that such programs are racist against minorities rather than protecting them, and that Republicans controlling the state legislature could curtail the left’s “attack on civil rights” by eliminating DEI funding.

“There should be no funding for DEI — period — on the state level in Georgia,” Greene said. “Our Republicans in Georgia can do something about this.”

“These people [Democrats] are the true racists, and this is pure racism,” she said. “It’s not protecting minorities. It’s not protecting black people from being mistreated in any way whatsoever.”

She condemned Willis and other Democrats promoting these programs, citing the allegations as the latest scandal surrounding Willis.

“It’s racism,” Greene said. “That’s how they are training people apparently in the Fulton County DA office.”

Greene’s remarks reflect broader conservative frustration with what they view as radical leftist ideology influencing institutions.
