During a recent interview, a CNN reporter repeatedly attempted to get Kari Lake to speculate on hypothetical scenarios regarding the 2020 election and her potential actions as vice president, which Lake refused to engage with.
She maintained that she is focused on solutions going forward.
“These are crazy. This is like a hypothetical going forward and a hypothetical going backward. I’m not going to entertain that,” Lake said. “What I will entertain is talking about going forward, and going forward when we get an America First president and some great leadership in the Senate and a majority, we’re going to do great things for the American people.”
When pressed on Arizona’s election issues, Lake affirmed problems occurred and court cases are ongoing.
She also stated her belief the 2020 election was rigged.
“We had major problems in our election, and we’re really working to resolve those problems. We still have some court cases,” she said.
“No. The 2020 election, I think it was a rigged election. President Trump… I believe it was,” she later added.
Lake currently leads her likely Democratic opponent in polls and will benefit from high voter concern over border issues and Biden’s handling of immigration.
Her campaign and how Arizona votes may play a pivotal role in determining control of the Senate and White House given the state’s competitive national trends in recent elections.
