A New York Times/Siena College poll found that Trump’s policies are viewed as more beneficial by voters across various demographics than Biden’s policies.
Pluralities said Biden’s policies hurt them personally (43%), while more said Trump’s helped (40%).
Subgroups also viewed Trump’s policies more positively: only 15% of Latinos said Biden’s helped versus 37% for Trump; more black voters said Trump’s helped (26%) than Biden’s (17%); and more women said Biden’s policies hurt them (40%) than helped (18%), while pluralities said Trump’s benefited women (39%).
The poll, conducted in late February with 823 registered voters, indicates Biden’s policies are not resonating as positively with key groups compared to perceptions of Trump’s agenda.
