President Biden underwent his annual physical exam, which revealed no new health concerns according to his physician.
Biden, who is 81 and the oldest president in U.S. history, has several stable existing conditions including atrial fibrillation, hyperlipidemia, and sleep apnea treated with CPAP.
“He continues to be fit for duty and fully executes all of his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations,” Dr. Kevin O’Connor wrote.
His lab work was normal. As Biden seeks another term, his health and mental acuity are under scrutiny as he could face a rematch with 77-year-old Donald Trump.
Last year’s exam found a small basal cell carcinoma lesion on Biden’s chest that was successfully removed.
“They do, however, have the potential to increase in size, resulting in a more significant issue as well as increased challenges for surgical removal,” O’Connor noted.
His doctor said in 2023 and 2024 that Biden remains fit for duty.
