A testy exchange broke out between Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and a reporter, as Greene pushed back against accusations of supporting conspiracy theories.
When asked why some Trump supporters like conspiracy theories, including herself, Greene responded that the left spreads more conspiracies and Americans like truth and freedom.
The reporter then brought up “Jewish space lasers,” to which an irritated Greene told the reporter to “[expletive] off” and stop talking about conspiracies.
“That’s the question everyone asks and no, I don’t think Nikki Haley should be on that list,” Greene said of Trump’s potential Vice President.
“I support President Trump in any way, anyway he’d ask me. But I can assure you it won’t be Nikki Haley.”
“Can you tell me why so many people that support Donald Trump love conspiracy theories, including yourself?” the reporter asked.
“Let me tell you: you’re a conspiracy theorist, and the left and the media spreads more conspiracy theories. We like the truth, we like supporting our freedoms and our Constitution, and America First,” Greene said.
“What about Jewish space lasers?” the reporter joked.
“Why don’t you go talk about Jewish space lasers and really why don’t you [expletive] off?” Green said.
Supporters praised Greene for standing up to the reporter’s line of questioning.
“I love MTG she takes no crap from anyone!” one X user wrote.
Since being elected in 2020, Greene has faced allegations of supporting the QAnon conspiracy theory and has carved out a controversial role in Congress through fiery rhetoric and symbolic gestures targeting progressive Democrats.
