During his State of the Union address, President Biden seemingly mispronounced the name of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old Georgia nursing student who was murdered allegedly by an illegal alien.

When Rep. Greene shouted at Biden to say Riley’s name as he discussed illegal immigration, Biden responded with “Lincoln Riley.”

“Lincoln Riley!” Biden said. “An innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal. That’s right. But how many of thousands of people have been killed by illegals? To her parents, I say, my heart goes out to you, having lost children myself. I understand.”

Riley had been killed on the campus of the University of Georgia in February by Jose Antonio Ibarra, an illegal Venezuelan immigrant who had previously been released into the US interior by DHS despite facing shoplifting charges.

House Republicans wore pins honoring Riley and left a seat empty for her at the SOTU.

Only 37 Democrats joined Republicans in passing the “Laken Riley Act” to require DHS detain illegal immigrants facing theft or larceny charges, like Ibarra was at the time of Riley’s murder.

Biden did not acknowledge his administration’s role in releasing Riley’s accused killer.
