The booth from the diner featured in the famous finale scene of “The Sopranos” was sold on eBay for $82,600.

The iconic scene showed Tony Soprano sitting in the booth at Holsten’s diner in New Jersey with his family before the screen cut to black, leaving his fate ambiguous.

The booth became a popular spot for fans to visit and pay tribute following star James Gandolfini’s death.

After over 60 years, the owner decided to sell the booth for safety reasons since it was deteriorating.

“The time has come. All good things sometimes need an upgrade. The famous Sopranos booth is getting a much needed face-lift,” the official Holsten’s account posted. “Obviously, we aren’t going to change the nostalgia of our beloved shoppe…we aren’t crazy! Just polishing up the place!”

He initially posted his intention to sell on Facebook, hoping for at least $50,000.

“Please understand that we don’t want to do this. But the integrity of the booths are now compromised. They have been repaired many times and this furniture is over 60 years old. Obviously, we do not want to do this, however it has come to a point where they are structurally not safe anymore as a whole and we need to think about the safety of our patrons first,” the post added.

“Customer safety is a priority for us and should be for our patrons as well. Thank you and we hope you understand!”

On the last day it was open to the public, the owner placed onion rings on the table for final photos before closing the sale.
