However, Bill Clinton has been acting as a secret weapon for Biden by personally meeting with figures like Joe Manchin and Larry Hogan to dissuade them from pursuing presidential runs with No Labels’ backing, citing the risk of helping Donald Trump win again.
Both Manchin and Hogan ultimately decided against running in 2024 after these reported meetings with Clinton.
No Labels says it won’t back either major candidate but may still field their own option, with Clinton aiming to block alternatives that could undermine Biden’s prospects of defeating Trump for a second time.
