The coroner determined that Rick Harrison’s son Adam died of accidental fentanyl and methamphetamine toxicity at age 39.
Adam had been living in a guesthouse and exhibiting alarming behavior, and was discovered unresponsive by his landlord after a neighbor expressed concern.
Harrison had suspected fentanyl was involved and spoke out against the drug crisis, saying more must be done at the borders.
“Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,” Rick said.
“The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously,” he said. “It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”
Both Harrison and Adam’s brother Corey, who appeared on the History Channel reality show “Pawn Stars” about the family’s Las Vegas pawn shop, paid tribute on social media.
“You will always be in my heart! I love you,” Harrison posted online.
“Wax wtf I will always love you bubba,” Corey said.
Adam was not directly involved in the long-running show but may have worked at the family business.
His death highlighted the dangers of fentanyl amid an ongoing national crisis.
