Ukrainian President Zelenskyy pleaded for more ammunition to repel Russian advances during a summit in Albania.
He emphasized the importance of standing strong in the face of Russian aggression.
“I think this is the question of: Will we stand or not,” Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy sought support from southeastern European countries, highlighting the need for solidarity and the desire for EU and NATO membership.
“The European Union and NATO have provided Europe with the longest and most reliable era of security and economic development, and we are all equally worthy of being a part of the European and Euro-Atlantic communities,” Zelenskyy said.
“The interaction between us, between neighbors, between neighboring regions, between all partners, has become a factor that along with the resilience of our people in Ukraine, does not allow Putin to prevail,” Zelenskyy said.
The summit aimed to address the challenges Ukraine faces on the battlefield, including shortages of weapons and soldiers.
Not all countries at the summit fully support Ukraine, with Serbia being a notable ally of Russia.
Albania, on the other hand, expressed full support for Ukraine, providing military assistance and shelter to Ukrainian refugees.
Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant against Russian President Putin’s actions.
