A recent poll found young voters have overwhelmingly negative views of the economy under President Biden.
Among likely voters aged 18-29, 87% rated economic conditions as poor or fair – the worst rating for Biden.
No respondents in this age group rated the economy as “excellent.”
Even older groups had mostly negative assessments, with 73-76% of those aged 30-64 rating the economy poorly or fairly.
Only older voters aged 45-64 were less negative, though still 40% said conditions were poor.
The findings suggest Biden is struggling with younger voters on the economy in particular, an important voting bloc for Democrats.
