Texas state troopers recovered five unaccompanied children among a group of around 60 illegal immigrants who crossed the Rio Grande into Eagle Pass, Texas.

The children ranged in age from 5 to 11 years old and were carrying notes with addresses in Texas and New York.

This occurred a day before former President Trump’s planned visit to Eagle Pass to highlight what he argues are President Biden’s failures on border security.

Meanwhile, Biden will also visit the border area in Brownsville, Texas, which historically sees less illegal crossings than Eagle Pass due in part to infrastructure built under Trump.

Eagle Pass has been a flashpoint over border policies between Texas Governor Abbott and the Biden administration.
