Hunter Biden gave closed-door testimony to House Republicans regarding their impeachment inquiry into his father Joe Biden.
As Hunter and his lawyer exited, a reporter asked if cocaine found at the White House in July belonged to him.
His lawyer had just complained Republicans spent more time asking about Hunter’s past addiction than pertinent questions.
“It seems to me that the Republican members wanted to spend more time talking about my client’s addiction than they could ask any question that had anything to do with what they call their impeachment inquiry,” lawyer Abbe Lowell said.
“Mr. Biden, was the cocaine at the White House yours?!” a journalist said to Hunter.
Hunter did not reply to the cocaine question.
Republicans are investigating past business dealings of Hunter’s that occurred when Joe Biden was vice president, accusing Joe of benefiting, but have not provided solid evidence.
Donald Trump had previously speculated without evidence that both Bidens used cocaine found at the White House, but the Secret Service could not identify the source.
