An envelope containing powder was sent to Justice Arthur Engoron, who presided over the NY civil fraud trial against Trump, at a Manhattan courthouse.
Initial tests found the powder non-hazardous. Engoron did not contact it.
Another envelope was sent to NY Attorney General Letitia James, who is investigating Trump’s business practices, containing a non-hazardous substance.
Engoron faced criticism from Trump during the contentious trial, where Trump was prohibited from conducting NY business for 3 years and fined $355 million.
Trump said, “I also knew we have a corrupt judge. He’s not a respected man,”
The former president continued, “Again, I said before, he’s been overturned on this case by the appellate division four times already. It’s a record. Nobody’s ever been overturned on one case four times.”
Trump added, “It’s a state that’s going bust because everybody’s leaving and it’s all headed up by Biden who’s destroying our country.”
The incidents occurred as tensions remain high involving figures central to legal actions concerning Trump’s finances and business operations.
