Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on social media that the second-generation Tesla Roadster will be revealed near the end of 2024 with customer deliveries planned for 2025.
The Roadster was first unveiled in 2017 but has been delayed multiple times.
Musk made bold claims about its performance, saying it will do 0-60 mph in under one second.
Tonight, we radically increased the design goals for the new Tesla Roadster.
There will never be another car like this, if you could even call it a car.

“There will never be another car like this, if you could even call it a car.” Musk said. “I think it has a shot at being the most mind-blowing product demo of all time.”
This would beat other electric supercars and be one of the fastest production vehicles ever.
However, some are skeptical of Musk’s claims given past delays and issues bringing concepts to production.
The original specifications from 2017 of 0-60 in 1.9 seconds and a 250 mph top speed would already be impressive.
The Roadster is expected to cost between $200,000-$250,000, though reservations can be made now for $50,000.
As with other Musk predictions, the claims will need to be verified once the actual production Roadster is revealed.
