A poll conducted by Bloomberg News/Morning Consult reveals that swing-state voters across various demographics view President Joe Biden as too old, with concerns about his age prevalent even among reliable Democratic constituencies.

Despite this, less than half of respondents see his likely rival, Donald Trump, as too old.

“Biden’s age is clearly a sticky narrative that the president’s campaign is going to have to contend with,” Morning Consult vice president Caroline Bye said. “It’s clearly stickier for Biden than it is for Trump.”

Swing-state voters expressed concerns, however, about Trump’s perceived danger.

Biden trails Trump in key states, with voters acknowledging an improving economy but not significantly boosting support for the incumbent.

The narrative of Biden’s age has persisted, largely overshadowing his policy achievements.

Trump also maintains a lead over Biden in key states when including other candidates.

Voters across demographics label Biden as too old, even among his supporters, while Trump is seen as mentally fit.

Concerns about Trump’s legal issues and perceived danger persist among swing-state voters.

The economy and inflation remain top concerns, with voters holding Biden and Democrats in Congress responsible for the migrant surge.

Some view Biden’s policies positively, but overall, voters trust Trump more on economic issues.
