A man is suing Disney after his wife died from an allergic reaction at a Disney World restaurant where she was assured her food was allergen-free.
The lawsuit claims the woman was fed nuts and dairy despite multiple assurances from staff.
She collapsed after the meal, self-administered an epinephrine pen, and later died in the hospital.
According to the lawsuit, Piccolo’s wife died “as a result of anaphylaxis due to elevated levels of dairy and nut in her system.”
Piccolo’s lawyers alleged the death was “a direct and proximate result of the negligence” of Disney.
The lawsuit alleges negligence on Disney’s part and seeks damages exceeding $50,000.
