Taylor Swift’s father, Scott, is accused of assaulting an Australian photographer in Sydney.
The incident occurred at a ferry wharf, with the photographer claiming Scott punched him without provocation.
Taylor’s spokesperson mentioned aggression towards Taylor and her staff.
“Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water,” Swift’s spokesperson stated.
The photographer, Ben McDonald, stated he was struck on the face and left with injuries.
“She [Taylor] got off the boat, she walked towards security guards who were shoving umbrellas in our faces, and then he charged,” photographer Ben McDonald said.
“He probably decided he needed to defend his daughter, for some reason,” McDonald said. “In 23 years I have never seen anything like it.”
Scott, known for attending Taylor’s shows, was also involved in a light-hearted incident with Travis Kelce at a concert, in which he offered Travis a high five but was unnoticed by the NFL star.
Taylor’s Eras Tour continues with the next stop in Singapore on March 2.
