A recent survey indicates that convicting former President Donald Trump has actually boosted his popularity.
The poll showed Trump ahead of President Joe Biden in a hypothetical election scenario.
However, when matched against Republican candidate Nikki Haley, Biden came out on top.

The survey also revealed that a majority of respondents believe the charges against Trump are politically motivated.
Immigration was identified as the top concern for Americans, with Trump criticizing Biden’s policies on the issue.
Trump, meanwhile, vowed to address immigration issues and criticized Biden for the murder of a Georgia student by an illegal immigrant.

“This is a COUNTRY DESTROYING EVENT!!!” he wrote, noting that nations are sending America “their WORST, Gang Members, Murderers, Drug Dealers, Human Traffickers, Terrorists, their Mentally ILL, and even others, sick people, who need large scale medical help.”
