Meghan McCain has drawn criticism online for a sarcastic tweet mocking “MAGA Cheeto Jesus minions” who criticize her but “clutch their pearls” when she “punches back.”
This sparked personal insults from some Twitter users.
McCain posted, “It’s hilarious to me the MAGA Cheeto Jesus minions think they can all trash and debase people like me and then when we punch back and don’t just roll over and take it – they all clutch their pearls and need smelling salts it’s so shocking! Like lol, you wanna talk about tone?”

“Focus on the important things like putting your fork down,” commented one user.
Michelle Whitzel chimed in calling McCain a “keyboard warrior.”
McCain also publicly clashed with Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake, accusing her of backtracking on previous criticisms of McCain’s father.
McCain wrote, “Kari Lake is trying to walk back her continued attacks on my Dad (& family) and all of his loyal supporters after telling them to ‘get the hell out’. Guess she realized she can’t become a Senator without us. No peace, bitch. We see you for who you are – and are repulsed by it.”
Lake had extended an olive branch seeking to bridge divides, noting their shared priorities as mothers, but McCain vehemently dismissed the outreach with tweets declaring “NO PEACE, BITCH!” in response to Lake’s attempt to reconcile.
“My dad passed away from cancer, too,” wrote Lake.
“I trust and believe that if our fathers were still with us they would do everything they could to save this Republic,” she continued.
McCain responded “NO PEACE, [expletive]!”
McCain’s remarks highlight the depth of the rift between the two women.
