Top Republican investigators said they found inconsistencies between James Biden’s testimony and other witnesses in their impeachment inquiry against President Biden.
Oversight Chair Comer said James Biden denied Joe Biden’s involvement in his business, contrary to claims by Devon Archer, Tony Bobulinski and others who said the Biden family profited off Joe.
“They all say the same thing, that the Biden family capitalized off of Joe Biden. And with Jim Biden, he said some things that aren’t consistent with other people who we have interviewed, with other amounts of evidence that we have in the form of text messages and e-mails,” Comer said.
Comer said staff are reviewing James Biden’s transcript against other evidence.
“And, right now, as we speak, Maria, our staff is going over, reviewing all that to determine whether or not Jim Biden, in fact, told the truth in his transcribed interview,” he said.
Rep. Jordan agreed, saying James Biden disputed Tony Bobulinski’s consistent claim that he met with Joe Biden, contrary to what is known.
While Dem Rep. Raskin said James Biden affirmed Joe had no business involvement or actions, Republicans plan to depose Hunter Biden and say the inquiry will continue.
