On The View, Sunny Hostin was discussing Donald Trump’s recent speech to a Black conservative group when she referenced his controversial comments calling certain countries “[expletive] countries” in 2018.
When Hostin tried to repeat the profanity, the executive producer said she couldn’t say the actual word.
“He called countries like Haiti,” Hostin said, pausing to ask producer Brian Teta, “Can I say it? Can I say the word, Brian?”
“No, I’ve tried before,” Ana Navarro said.
“It’s been said,” Whoopi Goldberg added.
Hostin’s audio was cut off, and when restored she referenced Trump falsely accusing the Central Park Five and being accused of racism.

“He falsely accused the Central Park Five,” Hostin added. “He is, according to many people, a racist. And so a racist running on racism doesn’t work.”
The discussion touched on Trump appealing to racism and how his message isn’t resonating with Black voters despite media portrayals.
Hostin was prevented from directly quoting Trump’s derogatory and profane comments about other nations due to censorship policies.
